It's time for you new players to make your mark on the world of Isya by starting your new job change. This job change will be easy being the first one. Let us begin.
Level 20 Class Upgrade: Survive and Defeat Your Shadow Copy.
1) To Your Skill Master!: In order to begin this test or start it you must first reach level 20. You will receive a quest from your respective Skill Master in Elderine. The skill masters are the 4 upper-class people you will see near the center of Elderine. Speak to your skill master to begin your job change. He or she will give you the Class Upgrade Quest.
Each class is given a different quest to complete however they are all very easy to complete:
Once you have completed the quest you are given go back and talk to your skill master, they will tell you to seek out Grand Master Sean. 2) Find The Shadow Key: Grand Master Sean will hand you a quest. Its objective is to find a 'Shadow Key' Any monster posses this key so you may wander all over Forest of Mist Killing everything and searching for it. Normally the Phinos and Mini Greenkys near Grand Master Sean drop the key. 3) Prepare for your Shadow: It's time to enter the Shadow Dungeon. At this stage, it is recommended that you remove all your gear! That includes Clothes, Weapons, Shields, Rings, Earrings, Ect. Doing this will make completing the shadow dungeon alot easier. In addition to taking off all your gear, cast and scrolls you have brought with you and rest so your at full HP/SP Hint: Add all of the items you took off to the quick cast bar for quicker re-equiping once inside.
Enter When you are ready. Be on your guard...you will not be able to move upon entering and your shadow will attack first and possibly kill you if you do not pay attention! 4) Your Shadow Test Begins: Now you are inside the shadow dungeon, your shadow will talk and mouth off. In the mean time GEAR UP! Don't bother reading what your shadow says it's just random junk about power Gear Up! Use that time to equip all of your items before your shadow strikes you and possibly kills you. Side Note: Your shadow takes the form of which you enter in exactly and direct copy of your self. Taking off your gear and weapons limits your shadow and gives you an advantage towards it. 5) Your Shadow Runs off!: After slapping your shadow around a bit, he will mumble something and run off into the distance there you may chase after him even though you will be hindered from moving. You will not be able to move until he has gained a safe distance by then he's gone and out of your range. He will 'vanish' and leave mobs around that should be easy to kill. There are 3 sets of mobs. Kill these 3 sets to advance to the final stage of the quest. Killing the mobs is required for each set opens up the door to the next set so on and so forth. (Set 1) 2 Shadow Kebings: Low hp, Low attack.
(Set 2) 3 Shadow Skeletons: Higher hp, Low attack. 3 Shadow Skeleton Archers: Lower hp, Higher attack. (Set3) 3 Shadow Kebings: Low hp, Low attack.6) The Final Shadow Battle: After defeating the last set(Set 3), you will notice a blue light stream. The room will become dark when you enter and blue light crystals will light your way and path. Follow the light! Also, the archer and fighter are in this room, both on opposite sides of the map (left and right). Try and walk off the path of the light but keep it in your view and try and find one of them as they will be facing you in the room where you battle your shadow. While following this light, it is recommended that you remove all of your gear before reaching the Red Crystal at the end. This is where your shadow will appear for the second time and take on your form. Once you see your shadow appear, you feel as though you can't move...re-equip your gear at that moment and prepare to fight. Now you will have to fight your shadow 1 vs 1.....A hint here. Stay near the crystal: two mobs will come towards you (if you didn't kill them in the dark room with the blue light): a Clan Fighter and a Clan Archer and there will be a Stone Golum that will spawn to the right of the crystal (kill it first right when you enter the room). Defeat those three mobs first then move towards your shadow. Your shadow will not attack you till you fire first or it sees you near it. Use it to your advantage and knock out the mobs first.
7) Finish Off your shadow!: A Random Stone Golem will keep spawning near the walls...it keeps on annoying me so i decided to drag my shadow all the way down back the blue light and into the room before the Crystal. The Stone Golem seemed to avoid coming down there and it made it much easier to kill my shadow just a side note though you may fight him and the Stonie there if you deem so. However, if you don't feel like dragging your clone all the way down the path again the golums aren't too difficult to kill so it can be easier to just kill the golum as soon as it spawns. To kill your clone just keep hitting it with everything you have and using pots/stones when necessary 8 ) Your Class Upgrade Reward: Once you have killed your shadow you will be given a Sign of Promotion to hand into Grand Master Sean. After 30 seconds you will be teleported back to Grand Master Sean to complete the quest and gain your class upgrade reward. Now you will be able to choose your reward as you see fit (a level 20 weapon of your choice for your class). In addition to this, there will be a global announcement saying that you have completed the upgrade quest. Congratulations You have now become a HighCleric, WizMage, HawkArcher, Or CleverFighter Class Type!! You can now buy all of your skills and needed armor along with the level 20 ride (the hobby)
| |
When you are buying your skills you will notice that you are missing a skill. This is the skill that you buy using fame from Item Merchant Nina. However, you can get this skill for free from a quest. This quest ties on directly from the Upgrade Quest and is a good change to test out your new strength. |
[edit] Skill Quest
It's time for you new players to make your mark on the world of Isya by starting your new job change. This job change will be easy being the first one. Let us begin.
To start the quest to get the skill, head back to your skill master in Elderine and accept their quest. They will tell you to kill 20 mara pirate elite and 20 smart phino or Joker Kebings and return to them once you have killed them.
The best place to kill the mobs is on the Sea of Greed, on your way there stop by Item Merchant Nina. This way you will be able to see which skill you are going to get.
| |
Once you have killed all the mobs return to your skill master, they will then tell you to find Rupel. Rupel is the Unknown Dark Elf in the top left hand corner of the Forest of Mist. There will be alot of mobs between you and him and they will all attack you if you go near. Go prepared.
Once you are over the bridge there are only the Boogys, Speedy Boogys and maybe a Boogy Knight between you and Rupel. Rupel will be standing between two trees, looking like he's using an alchemy skill. When you get to him, talk to him to finish that part of the quest.
That isn't the end of the quest however. After speaking with Rupel he will say that you need to prove yourself worthy and to take down 15 Grave Robber, 15 Little Lizardmen and 15 Prock Zone. When you try to kill them its recommended that you have a defence and a vitality scroll on you, a cleric to heal and cure you (the Prock Zones cast poison) will help alot.Once you have killed all you need to kill, return to Rupel to hand the quest in. As a reward you will be given a scroll, however you cannot use it yet.He will tell you to return to your skill master to make the scroll available for use.
Make your way back to elderine and back to your respective skill master. After a brief talk he will take the scroll you couldn't use and turn it into the skill scroll you were so desperately seeking. The skill can be learnt immediately and is added to your skills list with the rest of your skills. Congratulations, you have finished what is essentially the second part of the upgrade quest and gained a free skill. Now you can go out and show the rest of Isya what your made of.
