If you have successfully participated in the kq, once it contains the max number of participants or runs out of time before launch, you get teleported to cyclone hill, the home of King Slime. The first thing you will want to do when you get into a kq is to get a party. Getting into a full party helps in numerous ways:
- If you have a cleric in your party, you can get the party buffs
- Again, if you have a cleric in your party it allows them to heal you much easier
- You gain more experience from mobs because as a party you can do more damage more quickly The best way to find a party is by shouting that you need a party right at the beginning (most common ways of shouting for a party are LF PT and PT PLZ) or you can make your own party and invite others to it when they shout they need one (right click their name in the shout box and select party invite).Once your party is full your ready to go

The main objective in the King Slime KQ is to kill King Slime himself. However you will find that you have a large fight on your hands just to get to him in the first place.Cyclone hill is split up into 4 tiers, each tier containing large numbers of monsters that you have to kill, increasing in difficulty as you progress up the hill, with the peak being reserved for the fight with the king himself. You will also notice you have 2 hearts just under your map, these are your lives. Each life gives you 1 respawn incase you die, if you are out of lives and you die, you are teleported back to Roumen and get nothing. As with all KQ's, different classes have different parts to play, although its not essential you stick to what it says here, it is the most recommended way to play in the KQ.Clerics - Stay back and heal your party and anyone that needs it Archers - Stay back and keep hitting the tougher mobs with poison and bleed skills Fighters - Tank the mobs, kick any that are going for archers/mages Mages - Spam skills on any mob a fighter has already kickedEach entrance to the next tier is flanked with a pair of slime statues generating an electric barrier, this battier will prevent you and all others in the kq from proceeding to the next level until you have killed every monster on that tier, once they are all dead the barrier is lifted and you can proceed.Because killing every mob in every tier is required for finishing the kq, it is well worth doing the quests that come with the kq as the first 2 stages are normally very easy to complete (the third being kill king and queen slime) and will give you more experience on top of what your already getting. You will notice there is a timer for completing the quest, although this is normally plenty time to complete the quest, sometimes you may feel that it is going too slow and may want to hurry things up. There is a way this is possible, but it should only be attempted if you have a strong group to do it with. Split the party, have 10 people go the long way around to the next tier and kill all the mobs that side and have 5 people (1 party) go the other way to kill everything that side. There should be atleast 1 cleric in the party that separates and if all goes well both sets should make it back to the barrier at around the same time.

Once you have finished clearing out the three tiers of mobs the final barrier will open up along with a nice message from the king slime itself. However, before you decide to just rush in and try and take all the glory the king slime is alot more powerful than any other mob in the kq, and probably more powerful than anything you have faced before. Once the barrier is open, goto where its open and rest for a while. While you are resting you will be able to decide who is going to tank. The tank is ideally a fighter with alot of hp and defense. Vitality and Defense scrolls will be alot of help here, as will being in a party with a cleric that has the party defense buff active. If you don't have a fighter, then an archer can tank, the poison and bleed skills coupled with a good damage does mean an archer can keep the aggro.Once you have worked out who is tanking its time to go get the king, the first one in should be the tank who needs to use sneering kick (if they're a fighter) on the king, and keep using it as well as the other skills to hold the aggro. The archers and mages should be hitting the king with everything they have to take the hp off while the clerics keep the tank alive. The other fighters should stay back as they will be needed later on and shouldn't go in close as the king can do a powerful AoE (area of effect) attack that hits everything around it doing a large amount of damage and poisoning whoever is hit.Every now and again the king slime will spawn lots of mini slimes which after a short delay will go out and attack the clerics (heal causes a bit of aggro). This is where the other fighters shine, they can round up the smaller mobs (4 power slime then 4 fire slime then 4 iron slime then queen slime and 2 prince) and kill them, with help from the archers and mages, which will leave the clerics free (and alive) to concentrate on keeping the tank alive.

Once the King Slime and all his minions are dead, you will be greeted with a nice screen saying success and a large amount of experience added to your total (its not uncommon to see 50%-80% of everyone in the kq level at the end). The 1125 exp you gain should be well worth your troubles in completing the KQ, but there's an extra bonus waiting for you.If you go into your inventory you will find in there a present box. This is your material reward for completing the KQ and can contain many good items that can help you. The most common items you can get are:
- Hp or Sp potions
- + Weapons
- King Slime Earrings
- Lucky/Blessed Elrue
You can get more than one thing from 1 KQ however there's also the possibility of not getting very much at all. There's nothing worse than using 10 hp and 15 sp pots to get 3 hp pots as a reward. However there have been cases when people have got nothing as a reward. But remember, the main reason for doing the KQ is for the extremely large experience boost you can get while doing it, that and it makes a nice change from questing and grinding.I hope this guide will help you through your first KQ and set you up for many KQ's to come, Good Luck.
