Game chatting:
Aggro: aggro is the agression of a monster. Getting aggro means he will attack you and keeping aggro means you make sure he keeps attacking you (see also tank) It can also be used in monster guides in which it means that this is a monster that will attack you first if you get too close.
aoe: area of effect. Attacks that do damage to more than one monster. Commonly used in the meaning of attacks groups of monsters (i am aoeing).
Buff: bonus a cleric can add, like increased physical defense. In cities 'buff please' refers to Endure which raises HP and SP. Buffs can also be negative (see debuff)
Build: What is your build? means 'on what stats did you place your stat-points'. So you are Pure END, Full INT or STR/END-hybrid - whatever you placed your stat-points on.
Carebear: Player who does not like PvP, used derogatorily when encountered in PVP dungeons or during Guild Wars.
CD or CT: Cooldown/cooltime. The time it takes before a skill can be used again.
Clank: cleric tank.
Collect: The act of sending a single party member to activate a large mob and pull them back to the rest of the party for AoE.
CS: CashShop. Referrs to items bought with real money in the SparkCash Shop.
DC: also used as d/c. DisConnected without forewarning, so basically you get dced when you are suddenly logged out of Fiesta. Causes can be you internet connection failing or your computer having enough of fiesta and just shuts it down
DD: damage dealer. This is a character that does lots of damage, like a mage or archer (and sometimes fighters)
Debuff: negative buff, like decreased travel speed. Can be Dispelled by Mages.
DoT: Damage over Time, usually reference to a mage because their lvl 60+ AoEs are damage over a period of time instead of every second like an archer (see DPS)
DPS: Damage Pers Second, usually refernece to a arcehr because our poisons provide periodic damage every second almost, archers are also called DoT sometimes but this is usually a mage
Drop: The items that monsters give up after they die
Duo, Duoing: Adventuring as a pair, often in a harmonious manner. Party of 2. Elites: Mobs with the "elite" tag (seen in the small left window when selected). Harder to kill and hit harder.
FA: Free allocation. Meaning that drops in a party go to whoever picks them up.
GM: Game Master. They can help you with aggressive players, bots, and other issues. In guild GM refers to the Guild Master.
Greens: greens are weapons/armour dropped by monsters of which the name of the item is in green (that's where the name comes from). They can have extra stats and can usually fetch a better price than the normal item.
Grinding: killing monsters. For any reason but quests (see questing).
gw: guildwar. Two guilds can fight each other. If you see people fighting in the cities, there is a gw going on.
Heal Slave: Derogatory term for Clerics who stay out of fights in order to concentrate on keeping the rest of the group alive.
KQ: King Quest. For detailed info on KQ see the KQ guides.
KS: Kill Steal. This means that you kill/attack a monster somebody else is fighting. It's effect is that you steal exp and perhaps even the kill so you have an easy time finishing a quest while the other player needs to work more. It is inappropriate behavior. Here is more info on ksing.
Leech: The act of allowing other party members to kill mobs while not participating. This is inappropriate behavior. You steal exp/drops while not doing anything yourself.
luring: to lure a mob/monster. Luring it... to lure it to you ^^
Mob: is used as a group of monsters, and also as a single monster.
Mushy: a mushroom.
Mushing: resting in your mushroom
NPC: Non-player character. These are in-game characters not played by players, like the people in the cities selling things and they can give quests.
pk/pked: player kill or player killed. It means a player kills or has been killed by another player.
Plvling: powerleveling. A much higher lvl player parties a low lvl so the low lvl gets lots of exp. It doesn't work with monsters more than 30 lvl higher than you.
Pots: Potions, like HP potions and SP potions
Pull: The concept of activating a single or small group of monsters out of a huge mob (often used with elites and bosses). Also used to pull a mob for aoe.
PvE: player vs Environment, so fighting monsters and stuff.
PvP: Player vs Player. You can attack other players and vice versa.
tank: the tank or tanker is the person (usually a fighter) who keeps the aggro of a monster while the rest does most of the damage.
Quests/questing: quests can be received from an NPC, usually require you to kill monsters/collect things for a reward. If you are working on a quest you are questing.
rez: rez stands for revive/resurrect. It is more friendly to type out the whole word but if you are short in time/lazy you can use rez.
rev: revive, see rez
SA or Seq: Sequential Allocation. Usually preferred in parties cause the drops are distributed evenly between partymembers.
Shrooming: resting in your mushroom, or killing players while in their mushroom (see Shroom Killing)
Shroom Killing: killing plaers while in their mushroom
Solo, Soloing: Adventuring without being attached to a party. Killing monsters on your own.
Spamming: spamming is doing something over and over again. Spamming in chatting is bannable and means you keep saying lots and lots of things without actually talking to people. Spamming skills is not bannable and basically just means to use a type 1 skill as often as possible.
Spawning: spawning is where monsters reappear after they were killed. Boss monsters are usually alone and thus you need to wait for one to spawn if you want to kill one. Players can also spawn, they do so in cities like Roumen, Elderine and Uruga.
Spawn Killing: killing plaers during PvP immediately after they spawn
Spawntime: the time it takes for a monster to spawn after it died. This can be over 3 hours in some cases, or as soon as seconds in other cases.
Training: It means to lure a train of monsters onto somebody. The victim often dies. It is inappropriate behaviour. Also, this is the same as grinding (usually training is not assossiated with quests).
